When we asked Katrina why she decided to have her Oliver Tolentino gown AND her mother’s dress (which has been passed down for multiple generations) preserved with Elegance Preserved, the newly married bride simply replied with “My gown means a lot to me. You were highly recommended by my Mother-in-law and I felt very comfortable knowing my wedding gown was in such great hands!”
“I want to have it cleaned and preserved for display” Katrina says, “for my mom’s gown, it has been passed down to my mom in 1986, then to my sister in 2010, and then to me in 2017. Who knows, probably one our kids would like to wear it someday!”
After the first wedding gown designer failed to make Katrina’s reception dress, nor restore + repair her mother’s relic, the bride was forced to make a last minute decision and look for another designer – one month before the wedding no less (!) “I saw this older gown at Oliver’s store, I tried it on and I loved it!” Katrina recalls, “as for my mom’s gown, he sketched what he would do to it and I totally loved it! I even fell in love with the layers being longer than the original layers.”
Katrina and Miguel were married in front of their closest family friends in a Filipino / Catholic ceremony. All the details became a family affair as the invitations, programs, and even the decor was assembled + designed by the bride, her sister, and brother-in-law.
We are so honored to have the privilege of not only preserving one wedding gown memory but two! Congratulations to Katrina and Miguel!
