Shipping Order Form Success!

We have received your shipping order form and saved it on file. A representative will contact you shortly, typically via text.

The shipping service is best for brides that are truly outside of the Bay Area region and unable to come into one of our two (2) bridal shops, use a drop store or one of our Bay Area pickup routes.  If you are in the Bay Area, also consider that the shipping kit will require packaging up your dress and bringing it to a UPS drop store.

If outside the Bay Area, the shipping kit is an effective method to safely and securely get your dress to us for a quote.

Prior to shipping out the kit, we hope to review your dress with you to create a “quote range”. We want to make sure there are no surprises in pricing prior to using the shipping service. We would ask that you take 4-5 current photos of your dress, post-ceremony. We need one photo showing the outside ornamentation of the dress as well as 2-3 photos of the current hem condition. This will help us create the quote range and determine the proper size shipping box for you.  These photos should be emailed to: service@elegancepreserved.com.

Once your quote range is approved by you, we will send out your shipping kit.

The shipping kit typically takes 4-5 business days to arrive. It is a shipping box with a UPS label, inside a shipped box. There will be tape and a plastic cover also included. It’s best to keep your dress inside your boutique bag and to roll it up like a sleeping bag. This can then be inserted into the included plastic bag. The box can then be taped up with the supplies provided. The dress will then need to be taken to any local UPS delivery point. Your dress will come directly to our bridal shop for a finalized quote and we will notify you via emai the moment it arrives. We also appreciate it if you could text us once you ship at 800-539-9092. We will also receive a UPS update once you ship.

Below are some questions and answers that brides often feel are helpful.

The first question is generally…. “what is your pricing?”
How We Price-Page. We will need to see your beautiful dress at our bridal shop for an accurate quote. There is a 50% deposit to commence services with the balance due after completion of services. For a full list of our services offerings, visit: services offered.

The second question is often “how long will it take?”
We can complete a gown in as little as 3 days if we have a pre-ceremony emergency, for example. However, our standard turnaround time is 4-5 weeks for a “clean only” service and 12 weeks for a cleaning and preservation package. We do realize that if someone is intending to resell their gown that we may need a faster completion date. We can work with you based on your needs and we do often finish faster than our original estimated completion dates. Please let us know what you need and we will absolutely take care of it for you!

Finally, are you able to fix Rips and Tears on my dress?
A normal concern, YES! We can repair these items, if required. Simple repairs we often perform at no charge. (I.E. a simple stitch as needed). If you have extensive repairs then we will discuss that with you. We often have the discussion, “what is necessary or needed?” If a dress is going to be worn in the future by a lucky relative of friend then there will be a fitting. That is often the right time and most cost effective time to complete final/final re-crafting repairs. If you’re a resale bride, lets discuss early because this is typically more of a concern. Repairs are something we can only quote after we have seen your dress in store.

Any other important items I should know about?

RED WINE: If you have a red wine emergency, we recommend having your dress cleaned immediately. You have as little as 3 days with a high-end fabric before staining becomes permanent. If you’re outside of our region, we will typically try to help you identify a local provider that can begin work within hours.  Do not try to remove red wine on your own if you have a high-end fabric such as silk or satin. Please bring it into a professional high-end wedding dress cleaner immediately. We have a dedicated program called, Red Wine Rescue for Bay Area brides.
