Sunset, Celebration, and a Cape Made of Dreams: Kimberly & Michael’s Joyful Carlsbad Wedding

On March 3, 2023, Kimberly and Michael Vackar celebrated their love with a vibrant, joy-filled wedding at The Crossings at Carlsbad Golf Course in Carlsbad, California. With panoramic ocean views, golden-hour skies, and a lively crowd of family and friends, the day unfolded like a perfectly written love story—equal parts heartfelt and fun.
Kimberly wore a breathtaking gown by Mia Solano paired with a romantic cape by Madi Lane, both of which she discovered at LUV Bridal in Los Angeles. It wasn’t love at first try—she first encountered the gown in Arizona, but it lingered in her mind through every fitting that followed. By the time she tried it again in LA, there was no doubt: this was the one. “It had every element I dreamt of,” she shared. “It made me feel fresh, fun, and young.”
Among the most treasured memories of the day was the private time she and Mike shared after the ceremony. Their photographer and videographer whisked them away for sunset portraits across the course. “We had so much fun in the golf cart,” Kimberly said, “and we even paused before entering the reception to just be still and take it all in together as newlyweds.”
The celebration was electric. Whether guests were dancing to the high-energy Lucky Devils Band, sipping cocktails, or spinning in the LA 360 Videobooth, there was a space—and a moment—for everyone. The joy was palpable. “What made it stand out,” Kimberly reflected, “was how much fun everyone had. There was something for everyone, and we could feel the love and happiness all around.”
After the wedding, Kimberly entrusted her gown to Elegance Preserved for wedding dress cleaning, preservation, and preservation boxes. “They were incredibly thorough,” she said. “They walked me through everything, respected my budget, and made sure my gown was cared for with the highest attention to detail.” Her hope is that one day, a future family member will fall in love with the gown just as she did—and carry forward the memories stitched into its fabric.
