Forever Among the Pines: Rose Marie & Michael’s Into the Woods Wedding

Beneath the towering trees of Big Bear, Rose Marie walked down the aisle at Into the Woods, the forest transformed into a cathedral of light and love. Every detail reflected the couple’s unique style—a black-tie wedding under the stars with tacos for dinner, elegance woven seamlessly with joy and ease.
Her gown, a breathtaking creation by Calla Blanche, was discovered at Designer Loft NYC. Rose Marie recalled the playful moment she found it: “I had one I loved, but the consultant asked if I wanted to try it back on or let her ‘try and beat it.’ I love a challenge, so I told her to surprise me. This was the one. Gorgeous, old Hollywood, with beading that shimmered like starlight, and the long train flowing through the forest was unforgettable.”
Her favorite memory came during the ceremony itself. “Walking down the aisle, looking at my forever person and all the people who loved us—it was so gorgeously crafted by our officiant Emily, who also happened to be the one who introduced us on a blind date. Everything about it felt like destiny.”
The wedding was alive with surprises and heart. At the reception, Rose Marie unveiled a song she had secretly finished with Michael’s best friend, a songwriter, that she began when they first started dating—an emotional gift that left him speechless. Later, their entertainer friends took over the DJ booth, friends lifted Rose Marie into the air, and the night ended in a lively silent disco. It was, in her words, “the perfect mix of elegance and casual.”
After a night of carefree joy in the woods, her gown carried the marks of celebration. “It’s quite dirty now,” she laughed, “but I want to keep it forever.” She entrusted her dress to Elegance Preserved, knowing it would be lovingly cleaned, expertly preserved, and carefully placed in a signature preservation box worthy of the memories it holds.
