Willing to travel far and wide for the dress of her dreams, Taylor ended up finding perfection closer to home.” I had made appointments all over town and was even considering a trip to London, commissioning what I thought would be my dream gown. I’ve been in love with wedding gowns since childhood and thought it was going to be a long process. However when I tried this on during my first day of dress shopping, I was blown away. It wasn’t the shape I thought I wanted. The huge bow on the back wasn’t something I’d ever have pictured for me. Nonetheless when I was in it I knew I was done with my search, otherwise I’d have to be crazy not to get it!”
The first dance will be a cherished memory for years to come, while Taylor reminisces fondly. ” I knew it was going to hit me hard because first dances at other people’s wedding always get me in the end. However the world melted away in that moment. This big, carefully orchestrated, formal wedding surprisingly felt like the most natural thing we’d ever done. ”
Hoping her daughters may wear her gown, Taylor chose to have it preserved. ” I hope to have daughters who will grow up appreciating it as a symbol of their parents’ relationship. Maybe also choosing to wear it for their own weddings one day. Even if that doesn’t happen, I kind of hope it somehow ends up in a museum in 400 years.
