When asked why she wanted to preserve her wedding gown, Charlotte answered, “After spending a lot of time and money on this beautiful dress, I want it to be preserved for the future! My wedding was entirely outdoors and consequently I acquired several redwood leaves and dirt stains on the lace. Elegance Preserved has a great reputation and I feel comfortable leaving my dress in their hands.”
“I love my wedding dress and I hope to use pieces of the gown as “something old” for my children’s weddings in the future…” Charlotte says about preserving her wedding gown. “My headband was made from fabric taken from my grandmother’s gown, which was also a part of my mother’s headpiece on her wedding day. I love the idea of using pieces of fabric to transcend multiple generations.”
Charlotte and Ryan were married at Pema Osel Ling, Amphitheater of Redwoods. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Charlotte walked down the aisle in a beautiful lace Madison James gown. “I knew it was the one…” Charlotte says, “…it had very unique lace, an elegant back, and a flattering neckline. I tried on other dresses but I kept thinking about this dress as THE dress.”
Charlotte describes the ceremony and the entire wedding day as “magical”. With their close friend as their officiant and their adorable pup Rhubarb as their ring bearer, its hard to choose a favorite wedding day memory. However, “the best part was listening to my husband’s vows. We had agreed to write our own vows and read them for the first time on our wedding day. It was an extremely moving moment that I will never forget.”
To Charlotte and Ryan – we wish you a lifetime of love!
