Petals, Peonies, and Pure Joy: Jessica & Nick’s Garden Wedding in Walnut Creek

Jessica and Nick celebrated their love story beneath the blooming roses of the Gardens at Heather Farmin Walnut Creek—a dreamy venue where floral beauty met heartfelt design. For Jessica, every element was deeply intentional, right down to the gown she wore to say “I do.”
Designed by Eddy K and discovered at Glamour Closet in San Francisco, Jessica’s gown took her by surprise. “I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did,” she admits. But the moment she slipped it on, she, her mom, and sister all fell silent. “The flower lace depicted peonies, which align with my Chinese culture,” Jessica explains. “It fit beautifully with our garden venue—and it looked amazing on me!”
As a graphic designer, Jessica added her own creative flair throughout the day: she handcrafted every sign and even crocheted dumpling favors that guests couldn’t stop talking about. But the true showstopper? A surprise choreographed first dance with Nick—rehearsed in secret. As if that weren’t enough, his cousin brought the house down performing “I’m Just Ken” from Barbie—with the groomsmen spontaneously joining in. “It looked so seamless everyone thought it was planned,” Jessica laughs.
Still, her favorite moment was walking slowly down the garden path to the altar. “I took in the view, the guests, the flowers, the energy… it was emotional and unforgettable.”
Captured by Honey and Light Studios, every detail was preserved in timeless imagery. The celebration was enhanced by catering from Elisa’s Catering, florals by Fresh Petals, a cake from Napoleon Bakery, and beauty services by Beauty by Jasmine Yin and Beauty by Pace. DJ Fog City Entertainment kept the energy alive, and the day was masterfully coordinated by Erin Fogarty.
With such precious memories, Jessica wanted her gown treated with the same care it was worn with. “Whether I resell it or keep it, I wanted it professionally cleaned and cared for,” she says. Based on glowing reviews from Facebook wedding groups, her bridal boutique, and her own experience with their customer service, she trusted Elegance Preserved to do just that.
Now her gown is lovingly stored in one of their heirloom Wedding Dress Preservation Boxes, ready for its next chapter—whatever that may be.
