Evergreen Lodge (near the Oak Flat entrance to Yosemite National Park)
“I found Elegance Preserved through multiple Yelp searches” Laura tells us, “you guys had great reviews! Even if my wedding gown goes out of style, I want to save it for future family members.”
Laura and James were married in the woods underneath a teepee, which James built. The ceremony was decorated with lush greenery to play into Yosemite’s already vast and fresh landscape. The couple exchanged hand written vows while the groom’s uncle officiated.
“We spent countless hours on every little detail of the wedding” Laura recalls, “we held a 5k ‘fun run’ the morning of our wedding. Everyone thought we were nuts! But it was the one time we could con all of our friends into running with us!”
As guests moved into the reception part of the evening, they were guided by custom national park maps by Slick Turtle Design (Etsy) and then later munched on donuts and wedding cake.
The bride moved effortlessly in a August Jones dress purchased at local favorite Haute Bride in Los Gatos. “I remember trying on this gown with very intricate beading and lace. I thought it was going to be too busy, but as soon as I turned to the mirror, I started crying. That’s how I knew it was the one!”
When we see Laura and James photos, we can only smile. What true one-of-a-kind celebration this day was!
