On a radiant September 1st, Kelly and Stu began their journey as husband and wife, exchanging vows at the breathtaking Lodge at Marconi in Marshall, CA. Their wedding was a harmonious blend of intimate charm and joyful celebration, with every detail thoughtfully chosen to reflect their love story.
Kelly’s wedding attire was a masterpiece of elegance and practicality. She chose a gown by Laure de Sagazan from WildBride in Hayes Valley, San Francisco. For a touch of grandeur, she paired it with an ethereal overskirt by Newhite, which she discovered through a unique journey—purchased second-hand on Stillwhite from a bride in Australia.
“When I started looking, I knew I wanted something I could wear comfortably all night, yet have a ceremonial flair,” Kelly shared. “I first tried the overskirt in Toronto and fell in love. When I realized it paired perfectly with the Laure de Sagazan dress, I knew it was the one.”
Among the many highlights of their special day, Kelly treasures the heartfelt toasts from their loved ones. “I was completely overwhelmed by how incredible the toasts were. Nothing prepares you for the profound joy of hearing your closest friends and family express their love and support in such a meaningful way.”
Adding an unexpected twist, Stu planned a surprise performance with his college a cappella group during the cocktail hour. They serenaded Kelly with a stunning rendition of “Can’t Help Falling in Love”, creating a moment that she described as both beautiful and unforgettable.
After such a magical day, Kelly knew her gown deserved to be cared for with the utmost attention. “The hem got properly dirty from dancing, so I wanted to clean it before storing it away. I may not have specific plans for it, but it feels like something worth holding onto,” she explained.
