A Fairytale on the Water: Alice & Michael’s Intimate Lake Como Wedding

Alice and Michael were married in a place woven from dreams—Villa del Balbianello on the serene shores of Lake Como, Italy. The day was filled with elegance, emotion, and the kind of magic that only Italy can offer. But for Alice, it wasn’t just about the setting—it was about creating something deeply personal and timeless.

Alice wore a breathtaking gown by Lazaro, discovered at Bridal Galleria. “I thought I wanted something strapless, without sparkle,” she recalled, “but the moment I tried on this gown—the champagne tone, the embellished tulle skirt—I just knew.” It was the dress she never expected, yet instantly adored. After visiting several boutiques, nothing compared.

The ceremony was especially meaningful. Just two years earlier, Michael had proposed on a boat near the very same villa, making it all the more poignant to return and say their vows there. With only immediate family present, and Michael’s grandmother officiating, the ceremony became an emotional anchor after a long season of distance and separation during the pandemic. “It was everything,” Alice shared. “Intimate, heartfelt, and full of love.”

One of the most unforgettable highlights? Arriving at the venue by boat. Guests cruised across Lake Como in classic wooden vessels, setting the tone for a celebration that was both stylish and unforgettable. After the ceremony, Alice and Michael boarded another boat with their photographer for a private tour—pausing at scenic spots, capturing the sunlight and serenity of the moment.
