A Garden of Grace: Elizabeth & Andrew’s Bloom-Filled Wedding at Green Gables Estate

Under a canopy of Southern California sunshine and fragrant blossoms, Elizabeth and Andrew DeClerck exchanged vows at the enchanting Green Gables Wedding Estate in San Marcos, CA. Their intimate celebration was a tribute to family, artistry, and love—woven with thoughtful details and timeless elegance.
Elizabeth had always admired the romantic artistry of Monique Lhuillier, especially the designer’s ethereal printed fabrics. Her heart was already set on a specific gown long before she ever tried it on. “Roma Sposa in Birmingham, Michigan—just down the road from my parents’ house—was able to have my favorite dress shipped from New York City,” Elizabeth recalls. “I think I knew I would choose it just from the photos.”
Trying it on with her mom and sisters made the moment unforgettable, and her selection—a delicate yellow-printed gown with an elegantly long train—was a floral dream brought to life. To protect its uniqueness, Elizabeth turned to Elegance Preserved for cleaning and wedding gown preservation trusting their expert guidance. “Olivia explained how the dyes in the yellow fabric were delicate and prone to fading or bleeding onto the many layers of the dress,” Elizabeth says. “I wanted a preservation process that would treat the gown with the care it deserves.”
The couple’s wedding day was an expression of artistry and connection. Family was at the heart of it all. “Since our family is spread out across the country, it was really special to be together,” Elizabeth shares. She also treasures the moments before the ceremony when she, her mom, grandmas, and sisters set up the venue—placing floral china, linens, antique furniture, and lavish blooms throughout the space. “It was so much fun to see the planning in action!”
In keeping with their creative spirit, the reception featured hand-painted candles, a watercolor station by Chasing Linenwhere guests could sit for custom portraits, and refreshing herbal elixir drinks instead of alcohol. The mood was dreamy, charming, and unmistakably them.
Elizabeth is quick to praise her exceptional team of vendors. From the romantic vision captured by Bailey Ann Photography to the lush arrangements by Studio Fleurish, and the stunning hair and makeup by Triplow Beauty, each element came together seamlessly. It was a day of beauty, intention, and heartfelt celebration—one that deserved a gown as memorable as the memories made.
